Apoptosis or non-apoptotic death such as necrosis, autophagy and senescence is an important model for understanding intracellular functions. In recent years, more and more reports have pointed out that there is a correlation between cell senescence and cancer, as well as the mechanism of senescence and stem cell activity. Creative Bioarray can provide accurate and convenient cell senescence testing to help your research.

Background

Cell Senescence Testing

Cell senescence is a complex physiological and pathological process involving multiple genes under the regulation of cell cycle, which has certain controllability. Cell senescence is considered a cancer inhibition mechanism and one of the potential causes of biological senescence.

Most normal cells are considered to have a limited ability to divide, and enter a state of senescence after being unable to divide. At this time, the cell is still alive, but the expression profile of the cell's gene and protein has largely changed.

The most notable feature of cell senescence is that cells still maintain metabolic activity for a long period of time. But because they are blocked in the G1 phase, they lose their ability to respond to mitogens and the ability to synthesize DNA and cannot enter the S phase.

Our Services

Cell senescence is a state of irreversible cell growth inhibition, which refers to the cell proliferation cessation after multiple generations or growth arrest due to stress response. Our services include but are not limited to:

SA-β-gal Detection Service

Senescent cells have remarkable characteristics. Senescence-associated β-galactosidase (SA-β-gal) is overexpressed in senescent cells, so it is regarded as one of the markers of cell senescence. β-galactosidase activity is easily detected in senescent cells, but not in presenescent cells, quiescent cells, immortal cells, or tumor cells.

SPiDER-βGal is a new type of green fluorescent dye to detect SA-β-gal. It has high cell membrane penetrability and will bind to protein after reacting with SA-β-gal and stay in the cell.

Based on a professional platform and rich experience, Creative Bioarray can provide rapid quantitative SA-β-gal detection service.
