Caspase-1 Antibody
Product Category:
Mitochondrial Assays
Description
Mitochondria are the energy-producing structures in cells and the main place for cells to perform aerobic respiration. The main function of mitochondria is to produce ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Mitochondria are involved in the regulation of cell death pathways. The kit is a simple method based on fluorescence that can distinguish healthy cells from apoptotic cells. It uses MitoCapture, a cationic dye that shows different fluorescent red and green colors in healthy cells and apoptotic cells.
Product Information
Product Name
Mitochondrial Apoptosis Detection Fluorometric Kit, MitoCapture
Application
Disruption of mitochondrial transmembrane potential is one of the earliest intracellular events that occur upon induction of apoptosis. The MitoCapture Mitochondrial Apoptosis Detection Kit provides a simple and sensitive in vitro assay for detecting the mitochondrial changes in apoptosis. It is highly sensive and detects apoptosis in living cells.
Detection Method
Fluorescence microscopy and Flow cytometry: FITC (Ex/Em = 488/530 ± 30 nm); and (optional) PI (Em = 488/590 ± 42 nm)
USAGE
For Research Use Only! Not For Use in Humans.
