Caspase-1 Antibody

Product Category:
Cell Ferroptosis Assay Kit

Description

Our isocitrate assay measures the oxidation of isocitrate to produce NADPH. NADPH converts the dye to an intense purple color with maximum absorption at 565 nm.

More Details
Isocitrate is an intermediate product of the TCA cycle and is formed from citrate via aconitase activity. In the TCA cycle, isocitrate is oxidized by isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) to α-ketoglutarate and produces NAD(P)H. In plants and lower organisms, isocitrate is the branching point of the glyoxalate shunt. Isocitrate is present in fairly high concentrations in many fruits and vegetables and in foods produced from these ingredients.
