Description
Cathepsin S is a member of the peptidase C1 family and is a lysosomal cysteine protease that may participate in the degradation of antigenic proteins to peptides for presentation to the MHC class II. This Kit utilizes the ability of active Cathepsin S to cleave the synthetic AFC-based peptide substrate to release AFC, which can be easily quantified using a fluorometer or fluorescence microplate reader.
